Managing Spontaneous Volunteers in Disasters

When our community is hit by a disaster, volunteers play a major role in response and recovery.

At this training you will learn:

  • Why is a VRC Important?
  • How to Set Up a VRC
  • Roles of VRC Staff
  • Mock Set up and Operation of a VRC

Heart of Indiana United Way is the lead organization for the Madison County COAD and a VRC lead for Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Madison, and Randolph Counties.

Volunteers are needed across the region to help our communities quickly respond to and recover from a disaster.
