Why Become a Pre-K Buddy?
43% of kindergarten students in Madison County are not prepared to enter school. Early childhood learning
(age 0-5) is key to a child’s future success in school and learning.
What Can You Do?
Volunteer to help improve the quality of preschool and childcare facilities across Madison County but becoming a Pre-K Buddy.
What Would I Do?
Pre-K Buddies work with teachers to assist them in the classroom. Activities may include; reading, playing games, puzzles, or other ways to help improve a child’s social and language skills.
When?
Pre-K Buddies Volunteer no more than 8 hours each month. Times may be flexible, and planned in advanced.

Locations include:
Anderson Head Start Program
Elwood Elementary – Preschool
Southview Preschool Center (Anderson)
