Heart of Indiana United Way Opens Office in Randolph County

Heart of Indiana United Way (HIUW) announces the recent opening of their new Randolph County office located on the third floor of the Towne Square Community Centre in downtown Winchester. This office was opened to show United Way’s commitment to the community and allow them to better serve and connect with residents, businesses, and partners in Randolph County.
“We are excited to have a local presence in Randolph County as we continue to build relationships and partnerships that serve community needs,” said Jenni Marsh, president, and CEO of Heart of Indiana United Way. “We are working on figuring out our set office hours for our Winchester location and should have those soon.”
Heart of Indiana United Way began serving Randolph County in 2018 and has continually expanded services and support in the community. Those efforts have included providing annual financial support to local organizations and over $220,000 in Covid Relief support specifically to Randolph County during the pandemic. Through those funds, families found help with food, rent, utilities, childcare, and more.
In addition to financial support to local non-profits, HIUW has also provided support through several focused programs and funds throughout the year. These include Operation Weatherization, which recently provided weatherization supplies to local families to help them keep their homes warm during the coldest winter months; Women United, a volunteer group working locally to support women and children’s issues; and the annual Diaper Drive, which collects and distributes diapers to local families through area partners. HIUW also funds and leads Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library across east central Indiana. Currently, over 500 Randolph County children, ages newborn to five, receive a new book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Currently, HIUW is asking for gifts to support two key programs/funds in Randolph County – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Friend to Friend Utility Assistance Fund. Only $25 provides a child with 12 books a year through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. To support this program, text Randolph to 91999 or visit www.heartofindiana.org/randolph.
The Friend to Friend Utility Assistance fund provides utility assistance to families facing utility disconnection during the coldest months of winter. To support this fund, text GiveHeat to 91999 or visit www.heartofindiana.org/giveheat.
