ALICE’s Household Survival Budget represents absolutely the minimum these families need to live and work today in their communities. In Indiana, 40% of working-age people (25-64) fall below the ALICE Threshold. Despite working, sometimes multiple jobs, ALICE is not able to meet their basic budget and often do not qualify for public assistance.
17th Annual United Way/Madison County Chamber Golf Classic Results Announced
The 17th Annual Heart of Indiana United Way/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, presented by Community Hospital Anderson, raised over $54,000 on July 19 at Anderson Country Club. 40 teams along with more than 30 sponsors and many volunteers helped to make the day a great success. Proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit local programs supported by Heart of Indiana United Way and the Madison County Chamber that create equitable opportunities and help individuals, families and businesses thrive.

This year’s grants were distributed among 47 organizations across five counties, supporting initiatives in Community Resilience, Read & Achieve, and the THRIVE Network to bolster local communities in Madison, Delaware, Henry, Randolph, and Fayette counties.
